SAFARI – DAY 2 –MORNING GAME DRIVE
ELEPHANTS --- It was cold the night before and we started after coffee and goodies at 6:30. Looked all over for elephants and couldn't find any ---- the park is 65000 acres. Then late in the morning we spotted a couple munching on some trees near the road.
The fence that keeps the elephants in the park a combination electric and heavy duty.
LIONS – We spotted a couple of lions late in the drive. They were moving. Then we saw another couple following the same way. The rangers say there four have teamed up to hunt together. It looked like they were going to cross the road so we maneuvered to get closer.
And we did get close!!! They ended up laying down in a field not too far from our camp.
MISCELLANEOUS --- We say all kinds of interesting animals. Warthogs, snails, hartebeasts (note the heart shape of the antlers) and of course lots of zebras.
