The days' activities went like this. Morning get up about 6 and have coffee and sweets. Out for a game drive (3 vehicles) and back about 9:30. Have a real breakfast. Have a light lunch about 12. Have a tea time about 4. Depart for game drive about 4:45 and return about 8:30 for dinner.
This a picture of Clyde getting ready for a game drive. Also if you look very closely you can see a couple of monkeys. Had to keep places zipped up and locked – monkeys.
LIONS --- Didn't see any. They had moved on somewhere.
ELEPHANTS – Saw a herd of mamas and baby and a couple of young bulls. The babies were romping around playing with their ears flapping. The young bulls were practicing fighting.
Save a couple of hudus – largest antelope in Africa
ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD --- Not really. A place were one elephant had died.
SURPRISE CAMP OUT – We had a little surprise on a hilltop overlooking the sunset. Wine and dried meats. Later in camp we had a cookout - lots of roasted meats ( hudu takes good)
LIONS AGAIN --- About 2 in the morning we heard all 4 of the lions roaring loudly. One right outside our (canvas) tent. Kept on for at least 30 minutes. Was fairly exciting. No – we didn't peek out.
