We finally got to Gorah about mid afternoon the second day And we some a couple of elephants on the way. Here is a picture of tent/home. It is quite comfortable and has indoor plumbing. Note Clyde relaxing on the porch. The side of the tent are just canvas – a point that will become more relevant in a later story about lions.
The main camp building was very nice – think Out of Africa meets Ralph Lauren. Here is Clyde getting ready to how down for a lunch.
Later in the afternoon as we were getting ready to go on our evening game drive, I looked through my binocs and spotted an African Buffalo about ¼ mile away. Every one was excited – since this is the most dangerous animal in Africa (based on people killed each year). Then we looked to our left and saw a whole herd of them (200 OR SO)coming down the hill towards our watering hole. Needless to say – we didn't wander too close – they can charge without warning.
