Midway to South Africa had a beach break here. Clyde greeted the
greeters (noticed that one of the musicians had a noisemaker that nice sound --- a hollowed out computer filled with pebbles) then
went off to a local beach (supposedly the most
beautiful on the island – a bit gritty for our taste). We had
lunch at a little place on the beach. It looked promising with white
table cloths, but things were mostly fried seafood and curried
seafood (lots of Indian influence on the island.) I don't think we'll
be coming back again – at least not on purpose. Did enjoy the
innovative approach of some of the vendors.
