Finally we show Mary and Clyde
entering a lava tube – a remarkable structure that is formed when
lava flows downhill. When the lava touches the air the outer surface
cools and forms a skin. But the lava continues to flow down the tube
until it is eventually emptied. This one was 10 feet high and ran
for 100 yards for so. We came out the other side.
